The book tells the stoy of an inveterate inventor 'Sarge', and his grandson Logan.

After many attempts Sarge has finally succeeded in building his very own time
machine, which for some strange reason has been constructed in the shape of a giant boot.

Sadly on his very first trip through time he managed to lose a small, heart-shaped locket
given to him by his mother shortly before she died. 

Sarge was very distressed by this until one day Logan came to call and volunteers to
join him in the search for the missing jewel.

Join our intrepid heroes as they set of on their astonishing journey, back and forth
through the corridors of both time and space in their search for this lost, secret jewel.
